“Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate,
And though I oft have passed them by a day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run West of the Moon and East of the Sun.”
Lillia is in Kentucky to visit her grandmother who is taking a vacation on a houseboat docked at White Cliff Landing. From there she explores the recreational area called Land Between the Lakes. There is much revealed to Lillia on LBL by way of the Indian spirit portal of the flat top rock…at the Home Place tourist site…and at one of the family cemeteries.
The village called White Cliff Landing does not really exist, but the recreation area Land Between the Lakes is real…it is a wonderful place to visit if you have a chance. The Tennessee River was dammed to form Kentucky Lake and the Cumberland River was dammed to form Lake Barkley…the LBL is the body of land between the two lakes. Please visit www.lbl.org to learn more about this area.
