Hooray…another thesaurus!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Excited to add this new thesaurus to my collection…cannot recommend this series enough! Visit their website to check out all the books in the series. Occupation Thesaurus will be published on July 20, 2020.

Early on in my writing career, I purchased the Emotion Thesaurus, first in the Writers Helping Writers series by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi. I immediately recognized what a valuable resource it was. And I’ve purchased all of the thesauruses as soon as they came out. The Occupation Thesaurus is the perfect addition to my collection as I’m working on a new series and will definitely need this type of resource.

We recently sold our home and moved into an apartment while our new house is being built. Most all my writing craft and resource books were packed away in storage, but just look at what I brought to along to our temporary digs…[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”6803″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Yes…my Writers Helping Writers thesauruses!!! This is a photograph of my desktop. As you can see I’m getting good use of my Urban and Rural Thesauruses. They provide inspiration for the new cozy mystery series I’m working on, suggesting sensory details you might experience in each setting and ideas for sources of conflict…and novels need conflict.

As in all of Angela and Becca’s thesauruses, the introductory chapters are craft books in themselves. With an entire town to populate, I’ll be reaching for this one to understand and enhance my characters and their careers. And, again, the conflict, in this case, called sources of friction, will be fun to play with and weave into the cast of murder suspects!

Big thanks to Angela and Becca for publishing these must have writer’s guides! Plus take a peek at the extra tools offered to help writers with world-building, timelines, scene maps and so much more![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
