Meet Explorer Momma

“…I decided travel was the best possible education, and I would take every chance I’d get. Reading goes hand in hand with exploration and discovery.” Lauren of Explorer Momma

Lauren’s words are music to my ears!

If you haven’t heard of her I’d like to introduce Lauren aka Explorer Momma by sharing her website. She is a mom who’s passionate about travel and the world of books…and loves sharing that with all of us out here in the world!

We discovered each other online and I was honored to do an author interview with her earlier this year. She helped share my story of writing the middle-grade Pameroy Mystery Series and why I am so passionate about doing a book for each state in the United States. My hope is to engage readers in…

  • Discovery of both small and large histories of states in the United States.
  • Exploration…whether via reading engaging stories or actually traveling to all the locations.
  • Enjoyment and pleasure from reading…escaping into other places and other lives.

A recent trip to historic Fort Benton especially caught my eye because Montana is coming up in my schedule of book publications.

The photograph above is of a statue of Shep, a forever faithful dog located near the Grand Union hotel where Lauren and her family stayed. Lauren goes on to explain in detail the poignant story behind the statue. A universal story with a local historical twist.

The photo on the right is of the historic Fort Benton and Lauren delves into both the historical significance on a national and a local scale. Her extensive research to share many details is something I really appreciate.

Looking at Lauren’s approach to travel and her appreciation of local history convinced me that she is someone my readers and parents would enjoy following. Please read her words and enjoy her beautiful photos…like the one of her stroll on the bridge over the Missouri River in the moonlight.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”6029″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Now…in a tribute to our Thanksgiving holiday coming up this month…here is one more thing Lauren does and does very well! She posts yummy recipes for those who enjoy Keto and low carb cooking. I love custards like creme brulee…so here you go…a sugar free pumpkin creme brulee for your holiday celebrations.

You’re welcome!
